Education, Background & More

Have you ever had a day off from school or work, but instead of relaxing, your mind won’t slow down? Or maybe you find yourself worrying about what’s next, imposter syndrome or perfectionism. You may have tried opening up to loved ones, but sometimes it feels like they don’t fully understand what you’re going through. You dream about what life could look like, yet fear, self-doubt, or expectations from others make it hard to go after what you truly want.

Or maybe you find yourself trying to have a healthy relationship with your family and want to explore what setting healthy boundaries could look like with your culture in mind. You may be trying to unlearn hurtful patterns to embrace your culture in a way that feels truest to you. Maybe you’re the ‘cycle breaker’ in your family, seeking a safe and validating space to release, reflect and continue your journey.

I want to let you know that you don’t have to figure this out on your own. The work we do together will be collaborative, supportive, and centered on you – your experiences, your identity and your cultural background. Therapy can be a safe, judgement-free space where you can explore your emotions, build confidence, and feel empowered to show up as your authentic self.

My clinical foundation is built on both academic rigor and diverse community experience. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Illinois State University and my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Throughout my training and career, I have worked extensively in behavioral health systems and community centers, including serving as a crisis line worker for the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. These experiences have deepened my passion for supporting individuals through their most vulnerable moments with empathy and specialized care.

So grab your favorite drink or snack, get cozy, and join me for virtual sessions. I offer counseling from a culturally sensitive and affirming perspective, and I’m passionate about creating a space where teen girls and women feel seen, heard and supported on their healing journey.

Self-Care Is Selfish – And That’s Okay

For many of us, the idea of self-care comes with a heavy side of guilt. We finally sit down to rest and immediately feel like we should be doing more. We say "no" to an invitation and spend the next hour worrying that we’ve disappointed someone. Often, we’re taught,...
