Hello! I am Richard Cordova, a Mental Health Professional at ARCH Counseling Center. I’m currently pursuing my Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology at The Chicago School, and I believe that therapy is most meaningful when it’s rooted in curiosity, authenticity, and collaboration.
More about RICHARD
Education, Background & More
Our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors don’t happen in a vacuum: they develop within the context of our experiences. Our nervous systems are brilliantly adaptive, developing creative ways to protect us, connect with others, and make sense of the world. Sometimes those same strategies continue long after we’ve outgrown the circumstances that shaped them.
There is nothing wrong with you. Your nervous system has been doing exactly what it was designed to do: adapt and keep you safe. Together, we’ll get curious about the patterns shaping your life, not to judge them, but to understand how they’ve been trying to help you. As we work together to understand those patterns better, you get to decide which ones still serve you and which you’re ready to outgrow, creating space to live your life in a way that feels authentic and aligned with who you are and who you want to become.
You make sense; all parts of you.
