Hi, I’m Marilyn Rodriguez, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who provides culturally responsive, trauma-informed care to individuals navigating anxiety, life transitions, identity exploration, and relational challenges. My clinical work is grounded in an integrative approach that draws from evidence-based practices while honoring the cultural, familial, and systemic contexts that shape each client’s experience. As a first-generation Mexican-American, I understand the complexity of navigating culture, family roles, and personal healing simultaneously.
More about MARILYN
Education, Background & More
I primarily support first-generation adults and young professionals experiencing anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, and identity-related concerns. My approach is warm, collaborative, and culturally responsive. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), narrative therapy, and a client-centered framework to help my clients better understand their emotions, identify patterns, and build confidence in their voice. I have experience working with trauma-related concerns, stress and burnout, and major life transitions, including migration and first-generation experiences. I collaborate with clients to build insight, strengthen emotional regulation, and develop practical coping strategies that support long-term well-being.
I offer a supportive space for individuals working to reduce people-pleasing behaviors, heal emotional wounds, and feel more grounded in their sense of self. I strive to create an environment where clients feel understood without needing to over-explain their lived experiences. My therapeutic style is warm, direct, and reflective, allowing clients to explore difficult emotions while feeling supported and respected. I emphasize increasing awareness of patterns in thoughts, emotions, and relationships, while fostering self-compassion and sustainable personal growth.
