More about Ishaly
Education, Background & More
My clinical work helps you build emotional insight and coping strategies. My resource expertise ensures you have a practical, stable foundation. Together, we focus on identifying your strengths, setting achievable goals, and connecting you with the critical resources, such as housing, healthcare, and employment assistance, that you need to build a stronger foundation for healing.
Education, Background & Clinical Focus
I am currently pursuing my Master of Social Work (MSW) degree at the Jane Addams College of Social Work at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC), and I hold a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the same institution. My ongoing clinical work focuses on applying evidence-based modalities to support emotional regulation and resilience.
Before transitioning into therapy, I gained extensive experience in case management and community support, working with diverse individuals and families. This background includes specialized training in domestic violence and significant experience navigating the complexities of the juvenile justice system.
My approach is client-centered and trauma-focused, meaning I meet you exactly where you are and tailor support to your unique needs. I believe that lasting healing occurs when trust, empathy, and collaboration are paired with practical, systemic stability. I’m here to ensure you feel heard, supported, and empowered through every step of your journey.
